Horse Menage Groundworks and Site Preparation
GROUNDWORKS PROJECT
APRIL 2025
Lewis Construction recently completed a large-scale groundworks project in Powys, preparing and levelling the site for a new horse menage (equestrian arena). This involved extensive excavation and moving hundreds of tonnes of earth to create a stable, level foundation ready for the next stage of construction.
Our team carefully dug out and regraded the area using professional excavation equipment, ensuring correct levels and ground stability across the entire site. Accurate preparation at this stage is essential to ensure proper drainage, structural integrity, and long-term performance of the finished arena surface.
The completed groundwork provides the owners with a perfectly prepared, level base so they can proceed with installing the membrane, drainage layers, and riding surface.
